GIC JAKNIDHAR (which will now be known as Atal Utkrisht Govt. Inter College Jakhnidhar) was established in 1965 as a primary school which over time upgraded as Higher Secondary School in the year 1988. It is managed by the Department of School Education, Uttarakhand. It is located in rural area. It is located in Jakhnidhar block of Tehri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. The school has grades from 6 to 12. Giving excellent results so far, this school has given many promising officers, employees, soldiers and responsible and educated citizens to the country and the state. Recently, selecting this school as Atal Utkrisht Govt. Inter College by the Uttarakhand government, the process of CBSE Affiliation has started.
