Located in an physical area of 7221 sqaure meter in Okhalkanda development block in a very scenic Nainital district of devbhoomi Uttarakhand, this very remote atal school SBSM Government Model Inter college Patlot is located at Patlot 70 km from Haldwani. This school started on 4th July 1952 as a junior highschool. Thereafter In 1976, the school was upgraded to highschool. Further, the school was upgraded to intermediate in 1981. In 2016, the school was nominated as a model school by the state government. On 5th sep 2018, the school was renamed as Shaid bahadur singh matiyali Government Model Inter College Patlot remembering the martyr Bahadur Singh Matiyali.
