The school AUGGIC Nainital in the historical, world heritage building built in Gothic pattern during British period. The school got started in 1913 as a junior high school and in 1939 it was upgraded to high school with nine subjects. In 1950 it was again upgraded to Intermediate level with 16 subjects, with passage of time in 2016 it was made model school At present time our school has become AtalUtkrisht. Due to its historical importance as it was summer capital during the British period, Tourist place and education many passed out students are working in different parts of the world and are flying high. There are 280 students who are taken care by 14 lecturers out of 16 and 7 assistant teachers out of 9.The office staff is very limited, one senior administrative officer ,four attendants & onesweeper. Following facilities are available in our school E-Learning, Smart classes, 15 CCTV camera, dining room for Mid -day meal, well maintained library with five thousand books, Band set for rally, instruments for assembly, all types of game materials, swam prabha channel, legal literacy club, Astronomy club, NSS and SPC etc. We have made different types of banners and uniforms for different clubs and houses for different occasion. Our school has been awarded as Best Government Inter College (Kumauon Region) for the year 2019 by DivyaHimgiri&Uttarakhand Technology University Dehradun
